At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
  • Describe the pathogenesis and clinical presentation of human papillomavirus (HPV).
  • Discuss properties of the currently available HPV vaccine, including dosing/administration, vaccine schedules, and safety considerations.
  • Review clinical evidence and guideline recommendations supporting HPV vaccination in various populations.
  • Recognize barriers to implementation of appropriate HPV vaccination and suggest strategies to overcome such barriers.
